X Spell Payoff

Permanents that turn spells with {X} in their mana cost into extra value: Zaxara, the Exemplary makes a Hydra sized to X, Unbound Flourishing doubles X, Nev, the Practical Dean and Elementalist's Palette grow with each X spell, Owlin Spiralmancer copies the first one each turn, and Rosheen Meanderer and Magus Lucea Kane make mana that only X costs can spend. This is the payoff side of the Hydra and big-X Commander archetype; the spells themselves carry X Spell. Distinct from Cost Reducer, which cheapens spells by type rather than by X, and from Mana Sink, the repeatable ability that soaks spare mana. Restrictions and answers that name X spells, like Gaddock Teeg and Frontline Medic, are not payoffs and are not tagged here.
