Hellbent

Cards carrying the Hellbent ability word check whether you have no cards in hand, and grant an upgraded effect when that condition is met. Infernal Tutor fetches any card instead of a duplicate when hellbent, and Nihilistic Glee lets you pay life to draw once your hand is empty. The empty hand is a payoff condition you reach by emptying your hand, not an action the card forces. Distinct from Discard Outlet, which lets you pitch cards as a cost, and Discard Payoff, which rewards each individual discard rather than the empty-hand state itself.
