Discard Punisher

Cards that turn an opponent's discard into damage, life loss, cards, or tokens: Megrim and Liliana's Caress drain for each card, Waste Not makes Zombies, mana, or cards, Tourach, Dread Cantor grows, Nath of the Gilt-Leaf makes Elves, Tergrid, God of Fright steals the discarded permanent, and Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance pings the table. The Tinybones, Tergrid, and Nekusar, the Mindrazer decks pair these with Opponent Discard spells and wheels. Distinct from Discard Payoff, which rewards your own discards for the cycling and madness decks, and from Opponent Discard, the spell or trigger that forces the discard in the first place. Co-fires with Wheel Payoff, the broader lens that also covers opponent-draw punishers.
