Free Caster

Cards that let you cast other spells without paying their mana costs, from any zone. Omniscience and Aluren grant a standing permission from hand, the Expertise cycle and Maelstrom Archangel hand out one free cast on resolution or combat damage, Etali, Primal Storm and Dazzling Sphinx exile from a library and cast what they find, Mindclaw Shaman casts from an opponent's hand, Goblin Dark-Dwellers and Torrential Gearhulk cast from a graveyard, and the hideaway lands play their exiled card once a condition is met. The tag reads the free cast written in the card's own rules text, so a card that carries Cascade, Discover, Suspend or Plot belongs to its keyword lens instead, and a card that only gives one of those keywords to other spells stays out. Distinct from cascade.free_spell and cascade.cost_alternative, where the card itself is the spell cast for no mana, from activated.cast_from_exile, which is the zone lens and includes paid casts such as Gonti, Lord of Luxury, and from interaction.cheat_into_play, which skips casting and puts a permanent straight onto the battlefield. Copies cast for free stay with spellslinger.spell_copy.
