Cheat Into Play

Bypasses the normal casting process by putting a creature or other permanent onto the battlefield from hand or library without paying its mana cost. Sneak Attack and Through the Breach slam a creature card from hand into play, often with haste; Show and Tell lets each player drop a permanent down; Elvish Piper repeatedly pipes creatures from hand; Natural Order and Birthing Pod search the library and put the found creature straight onto the field. Reanimation from the graveyard is not covered here, nor are basic-land ramp effects that lack a nonland type. Distinct from Cast From Exile, which still casts the card from the exile zone and pays its cost, whereas these effects skip casting entirely and place the permanent directly into play.
