Commander Synergy

Gear built to pair with a legendary commander, rewarding the singleton-legend nature of the format. Commander's Plate references the commander's color identity for protection, Blackblade Reforged cuts its equip cost on legendary creatures and grows with lands you control, Sword of the Animist ramps when its equipped creature attacks, and Helm of the Host makes attacking token copies of your commander. Narrower view of Is Equipment, limited to pieces with an explicit commander or legendary payoff. Distinct from Power Booster, which piles raw stats onto any attacker without caring whether it leads your deck, and from Equipment Payoff, the creatures that scale with whatever is bolted on.
