Artifacts with the Equipment subtype that attach to a creature you control through an equip cost, boosting power and toughness or granting keywords and triggers. Sword of Fire and Ice adds protection and a combat damage trigger, Skullclamp draws cards when the equipped creature dies, Lightning Greaves grants haste and shroud for equip {0}, and Batterskull arrives as a living weapon token. Distinct from Equipment Payoff, which covers the creatures that scale with attached gear rather than the gear itself; these cards ARE the Equipment, while that sibling rewards wearing it.
