Cantrip

Low-cost spells that draw a card while doing something else, so they refill the slot they took, usually pairing the draw with card selection like Scry or Surveil. Opt scries then draws, Preordain scries 2 then draws, Serum Visions draws then scries 2, and Consider surveils then draws. A narrower subset of Card Draw, the umbrella for any spell or permanent that adds cards to hand; cantrips are the cheap, self-replacing slice valued for digging and smoothing draws. Distinct from Impulse Draw, which exiles cards off the top to play temporarily rather than drawing them into hand, and from Draw Payoff, which rewards drawing rather than doing the drawing.
