Recurring Creature

Creatures carrying their own graveyard-to-battlefield recursion, returning themselves for free or for a cost rather than needing an external reanimation spell. Free loopers like Bloodghast (landfall) and Nether Traitor (creature death) are aristocrat engines; costed returners like Reassembling Skeleton, Dread Wanderer, Bloodsoaked Champion, Scrapheap Scrounger, and Cauldron Familiar give repeatable sacrifice fodder and attackers. Distinct from graveyard.reanimation, which returns OTHER creatures from a graveyard, and from graveyard.recursion, which returns cards to hand. Cards that cast themselves from the graveyard (Gravecrawler, escape, flashback, disturb) are a casting permission rather than a return and are excluded, as are undying, persist, and dredge.
