Protection From Creatures

Cards that grant protection from creatures to a creature, making it impossible to block with creatures and immune to damage, enchanting, equipping, or targeting from creature sources. Spirit Mantle and Holy Mantle pair a +X/+X buff with the keyword, and Unquestioned Authority adds card draw on top. The grant must come FROM the card; a creature simply printed with protection is not covered here. Distinct from Protection Spell, which gives instant-speed hexproof, indestructible, or protection from a color to dodge removal, this set specifically confers the creatures-blanking version, usually as a lasting Aura. Also separate from Regeneration, which replaces destruction rather than preventing blocks and damage outright.
