Trend: the biggest sustained price gainers across every set
What a copy costs you, and what a copy sells for
TCGplayer's marketplace prices the copy you are about to buy. Card Kingdom's buylist quotes what a vendor pays for a near mint copy of the one already in your binder. Both update every day.
One price, read four ways
A spike, a slow climb, a metagame shift, and the cheapest way in are four different stories. One price number blurs them together.
Is it a spike or a climb?
Trend follows one printing's price at one finish over weeks, and only changes its call once a move holds. Breakout flags the last day or two jumping off that trend, measured against how much the card normally swings, so you see a spike early.

Is the whole card moving, or one printing?
When most printings of a card move the same way in a format, the Meta Signal reads it as the card entering or leaving the metagame, often before the meta stats catch up. The Acquisition Floor is the cheapest playable copy across every printing, so you can find a cheaper version than the one in front of you.

Cards that are cheap right now, and why
The Deals desk lists popular cards near the bottom of their own price range, and names a reason only when there is evidence for one.
How far down it is, and why
Each card says how far down it is, from Falling fast to Leveling off. When there is a clear reason, it names it: a suspected reprint, fresh supply from a named set, a card fading from the meta. A Secret Lair sliding down from its own release price is a different story from a staple that just got reprinted in a Commander precon, and the desk labels them differently. When it finds no reason, it says that too.

Watch one printing in one finish, a sealed box, or the cheapest copy of a card in any printing, where the alert names the copy that hit your price. On a printing or a sealed box, pick the price it reads: Market, Lowest Listing, or Buylist. A floor watch needs no choice, because the floor is already the cheapest copy. Every watch fires One time, Every crossing, or Daily while true.
