Tribal Lord

The classic "lord" effect: a permanent that gives +1/+1, and often a keyword, to other creatures of a named creature subtype you control. Goblin Chieftain hands every other Goblin +1/+1 and haste, Lord of Atlantis grants Merfolk +1/+1 and islandwalk, Elvish Archdruid pumps your Elves, and Merrow Reejerey buffs Merfolk. Pieces like Vanquisher's Banner and Morophon, the Boundless apply the same boost to a chosen type. These are core to creature-type decks because they multiply the value of a wide board. The defining trait is a stat boost gated on a creature SUBTYPE. Effects that pump by card type such as artifact creatures, or by color, or with no qualifier at all, are plain Anthem effects, not tribal lords. Tribal payoffs that grant a keyword or cost reduction without any +1/+1 also fall outside this group.
