Land Sacrifice

Cards that sacrifice lands you control to convert them into other resources or to satisfy a cost. Zuran Orb sacrifices any land for two life, Squandered Resources cracks lands for mana, Constant Mists fogs combat by sacrificing a land with buyback, and Crop Rotation pays a sacrificed land as an additional cost to fetch a new one. Distinct from Land Recursion, which returns or replays lands from the graveyard rather than feeding them to the graveyard, and from Land Tutor, which searches for a land without requiring you to give one up. The sacrifice here is a cost you pay for upside, not an effect forced on an opponent.
