Fast Mana

Cheap or free permanents whose mana ability sacrifices the permanent itself to add a burst of mana all at once, fueling explosive early plays. Black Lotus and Jeweled Lotus add three mana, Lotus Petal adds one of any color, and Lion's Eye Diamond dumps three with no tap required. These are one-shot accelerants, not repeatable engines. Distinct from Mana Rock, whose artifacts tap for mana again every turn and stay on the battlefield, and from Ritual, which is a one-shot instant or sorcery spell rather than a permanent that sacrifices itself. Also separate from Treasure Maker, which creates separate Treasure tokens you sacrifice later.
