ETB Trigger

Permanents that carry a triggered ability firing the moment they themselves enter the battlefield, the effect blink decks, bounce loops, and recursion piles are built to replay. Mulldrifter draws two on arrival, Ravenous Chupacabra kills a creature, Solemn Simulacrum fetches a land, Portable Hole exiles a cheap permanent, and Batterskull brings its own Germ along. This is the timing tag, so it also covers ETB triggers whose payoff falls outside the four outcome tags: flicker.etb_value (card advantage and ramp), flicker.etb_token (bodies), flicker.etb_damage (drain and burn), and flicker.etb_removal (kill or exile). It covers compound triggers that fire on entry and on something else too, such as Captain James T. Kirk, Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, and Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath, all of which read 'enters or attacks' and so carry combat.attack_trigger alongside this tag. Distinct from flicker.ltb_trigger, which fires when the permanent leaves rather than arrives, and from payoffs that watch OTHER permanents entering, like Soul Warden, Impact Tremors, and landfall cards, which are not tagged here.
