Redirect

Stack-based answers that change the target of a spell or ability rather than countering it outright. Deflecting Swat and Wild Ricochet let you choose new targets for any spell or ability, while Bolt Bend, Redirect, and Misdirection swap the target of a single-target spell, often sending an opponent's kill spell or burn at their own creature or face. Distinct from interaction.counterspell, which stops the spell entirely instead of repointing it, and from interaction.cant_be_countered, which is static protection for your own casts. Also separate from interaction.theft and interaction.threaten, which act on permanents already on the battlefield rather than on the stack.
