Death Trigger

Permanents whose triggered abilities fire on creature death, converting the dying body into card draw, tokens, edicts, or other value. Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos force each opponent to sacrifice when one of yours dies; Midnight Reaper, Grim Haruspex, and Harvester of Souls turn deaths into cards; Pawn of Ulamog and Open the Graves replace dying creatures with new tokens. Distinct from sacrifice.aristocrat, which specifically deals damage or drains life on death rather than producing other resources, and from sacrifice.sacrifice_outlet, which is the activated ability that throws creatures away rather than the trigger that rewards their dying. Cards triggering only on their own death are excluded; this covers payoffs that watch the battlefield broadly.
