Mdfc Spell Land
Double-faced cards where one face is a castable spell and the reverse is a land you can play instead, giving deckbuilders a flexible slot that morphs between action and mana. Canonical examples include Emeria's Call // Emeria, Shattered Skyclave, Turntimber Symbiosis // Turntimber, Serpentine Wood, and Jwari Disruption // Jwari Ruins from Zendikar Rising. The land face typically enters tapped and often costs life to play untapped, trading speed for flexibility. Distinct from modal.modal_spell, which covers single-face choose-one menus on the stack, and from modal.split_card, which has two spell halves joined by // rather than a front-and-back face arrangement. Transform cards like werewolves and dual-spell MDFCs with two spell faces are excluded since neither face here is a land.
