Cards that cash in or scale with +1/+1 counters already in play. Fathom Mage draws when counters are placed on it; Walking Ballista and Triskelion remove counters to deal damage; Hangarback Walker and Chasm Skulker convert counters into tokens on death; Herald of Secret Streams makes counter-bearing creatures unblockable; Simic Ascendancy turns counter accumulation into an alternate win condition; Inspiring Call and Armorcraft Judge draw cards based on counter-bearing creatures. Distinct from counters.counter_placer, which only puts counters down without rewarding their presence, and from counters.counter_doubler, which amplifies counters as they enter rather than triggering off them.
