Casting Restriction

Always-on lockpieces whose text says certain spells "can't be cast" at all, carving entire categories of spells out of opponents' options. Drannith Magistrate forbids opponents from casting spells from any zone other than hand, Gaddock Teeg shuts off noncreature spells with mana value 4 or greater and spells with X in their mana costs, Sanctum Prelate names a number that locks out noncreature spells of that mana value, and Void Winnower bans even-cost spells outright. Narrower than control.rule_of_law, which caps spells-per-turn rather than naming which spells are illegal. Distinct from control.spell_punisher, which permits the cast and then deals damage or drains life in response.
