Free Spell

Spells with an alternative casting mode that bypasses the printed mana cost entirely, typically by exiling another card of the right color from hand. Includes the pitch-cost cycle Force of Will, Force of Negation, Commandeer, and Snapback, plus the Modern Horizons evoke elementals Fury, Solitude, Endurance, Grief, and Subtlety. Narrower than cascade.cost_alternative, which covers any non-printed-cost casting mode; this slice is specifically the zero-mana pitch and evoke-exile patterns. Separate from cascade.discover, which chains a free cast off the top of the library rather than from hand. Cards that demand a real resource sacrifice to cast for zero mana, such as land-sac burn, are excluded since the cost is not actually free.
